An awesome post by Melanie Seyer, the lead designer of the BBC Weather product within BBC Future Media, outlining the process and thinking behind their mid-November refresh.
Really bummed on Hawaii’s representation in the 50 and 50 project, the only state that needed two chances!? Sorry Berton, I know you’re a typographer, but I’m just not feeling it. Herb Kane we miss you more than ever.
The 50 and 50 project, curated by Dan Cassaro, attempts to construct a handsome new way of looking at the United States. Fifty designers, one per state, have illustrated their state motto: a kind of designer’s atlas.
Just bought the last two of these Hawaiian rain forest sheets from my favorite Kaimuki postal employee, braddah Chris! Bugga is meen.
Interesting to see what a touch of design can do for a semi-legal (soon to be legal in CA?) substance that’s historically associated with black-lights and tie-die. The names on the menu are worth a look too, but Dante probably won’t answer the door naked.
